Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K50 series smartphones in the Chinese market a couple of months ago, in March this year. Now, the standard Redmi K50 is getting a new variant and a new color in China.

The company has introduced the Redmi K50 smartphone, which packs 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. This new model is priced at 2,899 yuan, which roughly converts to $435. It is now up for pre-order in China and will go on sale from 26th May.

Along with that, the company has introduced a new color option for the Redmi K50 series, dubbed Qingxue, which comes with a matte white back panel. It will be officially available for purchase from 18th June, with a starting price of 2,399 yuan (~$360).

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi K50 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED QHD+ display that offers a 120Hz screen refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor.

The devices pack up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In the camera department, the Redmi K50 has a triple-camera setup on the back that includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front side, there’s a 20MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

It runs the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own MIUI 13 custom user interface on top. The device is powered by a 5,500mAh battery that comes with support for 67W fast charging.
