Microsoft is reportedly working on the Surface Laptop Go 2. Rumors have it that I may go official as early as this month in different markets. The Verge has come across a South Korean retailer listing for the Surface Laptop Go 2. The premature listing has revealed the key specs of the affordable notebook.
The listing reveals that the Surface Laptop 2 will feature an 11th generation Intel CPU (i5-1135G7) processor. To recall, the Surface Laptop Go, which debuted in 2020, came with a 10th generation Intel CPU. It will come preloaded with the Windows 11 OS and will offer an improved HD camera.
The listing states that the Surface Laptop Go 2 will be available for pre-orders from June 2. This indicates that it may not take too long for the notebook to go official. A previous report by Winfuture.de revealed that the Surface Laptop Go 2 would carry a starting price of $650.
The listing reveals that it will come equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. However, there is a possibility that the starting variant of the device may offer 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage. The affordable notebook is expected to deliver a battery life of 13.5 hours.
The Surface Laptop Go 2 will feature a 12.4-inch screen that offers a 3:2 aspect ratio. Some of the connectivity options that will be available on the device include a USB-A port, a USB-C port, a proprietary charging port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
