The news arrives from a WABetaInfo report who shared screenshot of a development build. This image showcases an “Edit message” option, which is currently not available on the live build. Notably, this screenshot was for the Android version of the app, but the feature will likely be shipped for the iOS version as well. As of right now, it is unknown how this feature will work on the popular messaging app.

Although, this has been one of the most requested features and can help rectify messages that are already sent. At the moment, users only have the option to correct their message by sending a clarification in a new one or just deleting the message entirely and again sending another message. So, this might be a great quality of life change that de-clutters the chats of its users.

So stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.
