Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 series has been subject to a lot of leaks and rumours lately. It will arrive as the successor to the Galaxy Watch 4 series and is expected to debut in August this year at an Unpacked event. The South Korean brand is tipped to ditch the Classic variant and replace it with a Pro model without the iconic rotating bezel.

Now noted tipster Ice Universe claims that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series might be the ugliest watch range of 2022. This will also increase the gap between Samsung’s smartwatches and Apple’s Watch series. The Galaxy Watch 5 will reportedly come in 40 and 42mm variants whereas the Pro model will come in only one option. The latter is said to be powered by a 572mAh battery unit which is also 60 percent bigger than its predecessor,  hence we can expect the Pro model to be larger in size.

The tipster says that the Watch 5 Pro will have very big bezels and he also reiterated it with a rough visual of the smartwatch. However, it’s worth noting that, Ice Universe is making a bold statement with the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 series. The Galaxy Watch 4 and 4 Classic were the third and fourth most popular smartwatches in Q1, 2022.

The next-generation Galaxy Watch 5 series is rumoured to come with a thermometer sensor as well as a host of other health-related features
