Sheth told ET that Realme has invested Rs 26.7 crore in KHY just to make one product and it will continue to invest further. The company will aim to bring 6-8 products in the audio category before the end of 2022. The executive also added that consumers are looking at the second screen on the top of their health/fitness requirements which is driving the growth of smartwatches. Realme plans to bring audio and smartwatches to India.

About smartphones, Sheth also said that Realme will now focus on bringing more 5G-enabled phones in the Rs 10,000 – Rs 15,000 price segment. 90 percent of the brand’s smartphone portfolio in the above Rs 15,000 segment will come with 5G connectivity.
