Zapp has announced its i300 electric scooter which has a range of 37 miles and can achieve a top speed of 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. The Zapp i300 is a petite electric scooter that can be deployed for daily city commutes. It is a high-powered zero-emission scooter with an affordable price tag.
The Zapp i300 comes as agile as it can get. It is a lightweight e-scooter with upside-down forks and a solid adjustable rear shock. The dual-channel ABS braking offers excellent control for the scooter. The electric motor of the i300 and the battery compartment are centrally located and placed for enhanced balance. The electric motor can deliver 9.6 Horsepower of power and peaks at 20hp. This in turn delivers up to 587 Nm of torque at the rear wheels accounting for its decent speed rating.
While the range of the Zapp i300 seems a bit limiting at just 37 miles (60km), Zapp says that the battery can be easily removed and charged within minutes. It says the charge can go from 20% to 80% within half an hour. The Zapp i300 has minimal storage space and its back wheel could transfer mud and water to the rider’s back.
Zapp was not specific on the release date of the i300 electric scooter. The company will soon announce some events where buyers can have a look at the i300. Delivery for orders of the Zapp i300 will take 12-16 weeks and the price starts at $7,000. Zapp will hope to project the speed credentials of the i300 as its best feature.
