The Oppo Reno 8 series launch in India is just around the corner. We had previously covered the launch timeline for the lineup and now, a new leak has revealed the launch date for the new smartphones.
According to a MySmartPrice report, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning on launching at least two models from the Reno 8 series for the Indian market. For those unaware, the brand has already launched the Reno 8 series in its home market of China. Now, the latest report has revealed that the new Reno 8 phones will be announced in India near the middle of next month on July 18.
The report further adds that the company might skip the Reno 8 Pro+ 5G model for the Indian market, rather, it will be rebranding the Reno 8 Pro+ 5G as the Reno 8 Pro 5G in India. In other words, we will only be seeing two out of the three smartphones next month. If the report is correct, then the Reno 8 Pro+ model in India will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC rather than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC since it is technically the Reno 8 Pro+ model rather than the actual Reno 8 Pro.
Additionally, the Indian variant of the Reno 8 Pro will sport a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, the device will feature a triple camera setup, which consists of a 50 megapixel primary sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. The front houses a 32 megapixel selfie shooter.
