Yesterday, Xiaomi took to its Weibo and Twitter handles to reveal that the Xiaomi 12S series of flagship phones will be unveiled on July 4 in China. The lineup has three phones, namely, the Xiaomi 12S, the Xiaomi 12S Pro, and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. A reliable tipster has claimed that the Xiaomi 12S series will not be released in global markets.
According to Snoopy Tech, the Xiaomi 12S series will remain exclusive to China. When he was asked whether the 12S lineup would debut later in the global markets, he responded by saying that the overseas market would not receive the Xiaomi 12S series at all. He added that instead of the 12S, the global markets will receive the Xiaomi 12T series.

Since the July 4 launch event for the Xiaomi 12S series was tweeted by Xiaomi’s global Twitter handle and by the company’s founder and CEO, Lei Jun, it appeared that the lineup would also debut in markets outside China. It appears that there is no evidence for the existence of the global variants of the 12S, the S12 Pro, and the 12S Ultra.
Recent reports have revealed that the 2206123SC, 2206122SC, 2207122MC, and 2203121C are model numbers of the upcoming Xiaomi 12S, the 12S Pro, the 12S Pro Dimensity chipset variant, and the 12S Ultra. The letter ‘C’ in the model numbers indicates that they are China variants.
Usually, the global variants of Xiaomi devices have the letter “G” instead of the letter “C” in their model numbers. While the Chinese variants have been spotted at Chinese certification sites like CMIIT, 3C, and TENAA, their overseas variants have not been spotted at any of the global certification sites, which suggests that these devices may be released in markets outside China.
Xiaomi fans, not only in China but also in other markets, are eagerly waiting for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. While it appears that its global variant may not exist, fans may want to wait more to see whether it gets a global release.
