Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 12S series in China. The launch consisted of flagship devices powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipsets. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a mid-range device in the global market dubbed the Xiaomi 12 Lite.

According to the official teaser, the Xiaomi 12 Lite will soon arrive in the global markets.

So far, the upcoming smartphone has been subject to many leaks ranging from specs and features, all the way to hands-on videos. So at this point, we know almost all there is to know about the 12 Lite.

The 12 Lite is said to feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that will offer Full HD+ resolution along with 120Hz refresh rate. The display is expected to have 402ppi pixel density, HDR10+ support, and Dolby Vision certification.

Under the hood, the mid-ranger will house the  Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset paired with up to 8 GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The battery is expected to be of 4,500 mAh capacity and will support 67W fast charging.

Coming to the optics, the device will have a 108-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The selfie camera is expected to house a 16-megapixel sensor. Lastly, the device will run on the Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top.

Some European retailers have already listed the smartphone on their websites. According to the listings, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the device will be priced at €500. However, it is too soon to tell if these listings are legit, so we suggest our readers take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
