Realme’s next flagship phone, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer, is all set to debut on July 12 in China. Ahead of the launch, the company is busy confirming the key details of the device. Today, the Chinese manufacturer revealed that the smartphone will be equipped with the latest RAM technology.

The LPDDR5x is an improved version of the LPDDR5 RAM. In November 2021, Samsung developed the first LPDDR5x RAM. When compared to LPDDR5, LPDDR5x consumes 20% less energy. Built on the 14nm process, the LPDDR5x RAM offers speeds of up to 8.5 Gbps. In comparison, the LPDDR5 RAM works at 6.4 GHz. Micron is the other company that develops LPDDR5x RAM.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which will power the device, is also known for low power consumption. In addition, the smartphone will come equipped with dual vapor chamber ice-core cooling technology for heat dissipation.

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will also support 10-bit colors, HDR10+, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It will have a 16-megapixel front camera, and its rear panel will feature two 50-megapixel cameras and a 2-megapixel snapper.

The smartphone will house a 5,000mAh battery, which will carry support for 100W fast charging. It will come preloaded with Android 12 OS and Realme UI 3.0. A recently spotted retailer listing revealed that it will arrive in three configurations: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.

Realme’s July 12 launch event will also see the arrival of other products. The company has confirmed that it will announce the Realme Bud Air 3 Neo TWS earbuds and the Realme Book Air notebook.
