Xiaomi has just launched a new product in India. However, it is not a smartphone or a smart wearable gadget. Rather, it is a new device for smart homes and is dubbed the Smart Standing Fan 2.
As the name suggests, it’s a standing fan that is made to help offer cooling in one’s home. The Chinese tech giant is marketing this product as “Quiet Smart, Quiet Cool,” thanks to its silent BLDC motor that helps offer a natural breeze mode. Furthermore, the design of the fan itself is also unique, with a 7+5 wing shaped blade. The new smart fan even offers 3 dimensional air flow, with around 100 speed levels.
Looking at its design, it features a minimal aesthetic and is lightweight as well, weighing just 3 kilograms. Notably, the new Smart Standing Fan 2 can also have its stand extended or contracted based on the users’ preferences. It operates at a minimal noise level of just 30.2dB while its maximum noise level of airflow hits 55.8dB. The fan also features a smart algorithm that enables it to simulate a natural breeze.
As stated above, the Xiaomi Smart Standing Fan 2 features 100 speed levels, which can be controlled through the Xiaomi Home App. Notably, the product also supports voice controls when used via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. In other words, it can be paired with smart home hubs and can be controlled remotely. The device can also be dismantled easily in a 6 step method for cleaning. The new device is currently available for purchase and is priced at 5,999 INR (roughly 75 US Dollars) on the official Mi India website.
