The Triumph TE-1 prototype is Triumph’s first electric bike and it is a very fast bike. The TE-1 can go from 0 to 100km/h in under 4 seconds which is a leading performance in its category.

Triumph has a track record of some pretty fast ICE motorcycles but it is just coming into the EV two-wheeler market. The company has completed the fourth and final phase of performance testing of the bike. Going by the performance data of the TE-1, it may come into the market with a bang. Overall, the bike performed well across several categories and will square up with current models.

The bike is however inspired by the Triumph Street Triple. The bike sports a short and agile design with twin-pod headlamps. The final body panels of the bike have been updated with the final body panels and paint scheme. Triumph says the TE-1 images are the same as the real thing, having passed the 4th stage of testing.Triumph TE-1 electric bike

An all-aluminum chassis covers the bike yielding an overall weight of 220kg. It has a higher power-to-weight ratio due to its chassis design, higher than current models. The electric bike can also be charged rapidly from 0 to 100% in just 25 minutes. There are no models in the market currently with such outstanding charging speed. The prototype remains a project under development, and Triumph is yet to provide a release date for the model.
