Following weeks of hype garnering marketing, the Nothing Phone (1) was finally announced in various markets. Now, the company has officially rolled out the first update for the handset, which serve to enhance the user’s experience. So let’s have a look.

The relatively new brand has just released the first ever OTA update for its Phone (1) and it has a size of just around 94MB. As of right now, this update has already been rolled out in India and is being released in other regions as well. Looking at the changelog, the company has offered a new update that revamps the operating system’s sound effects, brought improvements to the Glyph LED lighting interface, and even optimized the battery life of the new smartphone.
Apart from this, a major feature brought with this update is the arrival of HDR10+ support, along with portrait mode, HDR mode, and more for the camera app as well. The changelog also lists improvements in other aspects as well, including the camera UI, fingerprint recording and unlocking, and more. The new update also brings some bug fixes as well to better improve the experience.

For Nothing Phone (1) users that have not received the update notification, you can also manually check to see if your device has received the updates already. Go to Settings > System > System updates. At the moment, the first OTA update doesn’t bring too many changes, but we can expect to see more software updates in the arriving weeks.
