UPDATE:
Honor has reached out to us to confirm that it will maintain its operations in India and will continue its development.
Original Story as follows
Honor has officially announced that it will be exiting the Indian market. The CEO of the company, Zhao Ming, had recently stated in an interview that the company is withdrawing from the region.
The Chinese brand stated that it has been operating in the country for years now and still has some partners and even has opened related businesses as well in the nation (Via ITHome). Honor added that the Indian market has maintained profitability, but despite this, the company is planning on adopting a very safe way of conducting business in the nation. As of right now, the last tweet from the brand was back in 29 March 2021, during the major Indian festival of Holi.

Back then, the company launched a number of new products, which included laptops, smartwatches, smartphones, and more. Notably, this news also arrives as the brand is taking a more cautious stance with its business. Zhao Ming added that the company still aims on fulfilling the promises to its customers despite the challenges of a declining market. He also said that with all of this, the brand has no plans for building cars either at least for the next few years.
