Vivo has a couple of Y-series phones lined up for launch, such as the Vivo Y02s, Vivo Y35, and Vivo Y16. Among these, the Y16 was recently spotted in the database of certification platforms like the FCC and BIS. A recent report by Appuals has revealed the entire specifications of the Y16 along with its official renders. Read on to know what to expect from the new smartphone.

The Vivo Y16 will feature a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel with a teardrop notch. It carries support for an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It will feature a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

The dual-camera setup available on the back of the Vivo Y16 includes a 13-megapixel main camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth / macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture, and an LED flash. The device will offer various photography modes, such as live photo, time-lapse, face beauty, Pro mode, and more.

The Vivo Y16 is powered by the Helio G35 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB / 128 GB of built-in storage. The Y16 will come preinstalled with Android 12 OS with the FunTouch OS 12 on top. For enhanced performance, the device will offer features like Extended RAM 2.0, Multi Turbo 2.2, and Ultra Game Mode.

The Vivo Y16 has a 5,000mAh battery, which seemingly supports 10W charging. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It will offer other common features like dual-SIM support, a dedicated microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device measures 163.95 x 75.55 x 8.19mm and weighs 183 grams.

Vivo is yet to confirm the existence of the Vivo Y16. However, now that the rumor mill has already revealed almost everything about the device, it appears that it will not take too long for it to go official.
