Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip series of chipsets for wearable devices last month. Soon after the announcement, OPPO took to Weibo to confirm that the Watch 3 series will be equipped with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC. Today, the Chinese manufacturer officially confirmed its launch date.
The OPPO Watch 3 series is scheduled to go official at 7 pm (local time) on Aug. 10 in China. At the same event, the company will also unveil the Zhimei Life smart camera. Shown below are some new renders of the Watch 3 released by popular tipster Evan Blass.

As can be seen in the images, the OPPO Watch 3 is equipped with a curved edge display. Rumors surrounding the device have revealed that it will be equipped with a 1.91-inch AMOLED display with LTPO technology.
The device seems to be equipped with a metallic chassis with a rotatable crown on its right edge. It appears that it will be made available in black and brown colored leather straps. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 as well as the Apollo 4 Plus co-processor.
There is no word on the exact battery size of the OPPO Watch 3. In the RTOS mode, it will be able to last for up to 15 days. In the WearOS mode, it will offer a runtime of 5 days. The device is expected to offer features like a heart-rate tracker, a SpO2 tracker, ECG, GPS, NFC, e-SIM, and 5ATM water resistance.
Reports have revealed that the model numbers OWW211, OWW212, and OWW213 are all associated with the Watch 3 series. Hence, it appears that there could be as many as three variants of the Watch 3.
