Redmi has silently unveiled the Redmi 10 5G smartphone in markets like Thailand and Indonesia. The entry-level 5G phone carries a sub-$200 price tag. Some of the notable features of the Redmi 10 5G include a waterdrop notch display with a tall aspect ratio, a Dimensity 7-series chip, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, and a big battery.

The Redmi 10 5G has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2048 pixels, up to a 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass protection. The device’s front features a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash.

The Dimensity 700 chip powers the device with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It comes in multiple variants, like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The handset runs on the Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top.

The device houses a 5,000mAh battery. Its retail package includes a 22.5W charger, but the device only supports 18W charging. The phone offers security features like a side-facing fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock.

The Redmi 10 5G offers other features, such as dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 163.99 x 76.09 x 8.9mm and weighs around 200 grams. This device is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11e, which went official in March in China.

The 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variants of the Redmi 10 5G are priced at IDR 2,699,000 (~$180) and IDR 2,899,000 (~$194). The handset comes in three colors: Aurora Green, Chrome Silver, and Graphite Grey.
