Foldable smartphones are the talk of the town these days. Samsung and Motorola will be dropping their brand new foldables in a few days. And rumors are rife that Xiaomi will also be bringing its latest contender, dubbed Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 into the wild. The phone is said to debut this month and ahead of the launch, its display specs have leaked online. Let’s have a look at all the details.

Chinese Tipster Panda claims that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will be equipped with an internal and external 120Hz panel. Moreover, the external display is said to use Samsung’s E5 panel, whereas the internal screen is claimed to flaunt Samsung’s new Eco² OLED display.

As compared to previous displays, the new Eco² OLED display is claimed to reduce power consumption by 25% and increase light transmittance by 33%. The same display was also used in Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and we all know it performed really well.

In a separate leak, the tipster Digital Chat station reveals that Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will have an improved screen ratio. As per Mr. Chat station, the device will offer a 2520 x 1080-pixel resolution with a screen ratio of 21:9. For reference, the previous gen Mix Fold had a screen ratio of 21:7 and folks dubbed it as a “remote control”.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is said to launch pretty soon. Lei Jun, the company’s CEO and founder, is scheduled to hold his annual speech on August 11 and that’s when we can expect the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 to debut.

Xiaomi’s new foldable is expected to carry significant upgrades. It is rumored to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ gen1 Soc, a 50-megapixel main camera, and Xiaomi’s proprietary imaging chip called the Surge C1. We can expect it to go head to head with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4.
