Today, OPPO held a launch event in China where it launched the new OPPO Band 2 series alongside a bunch of new products such as the Watch 3 series, a K9x smart TV, and more. The new fitness band comes with some impressive features such as a 1.57-inch AMOLED display, up to 14 days of battery life, and more than 100 sports modes. The OPPO Band 2 comes in variants- NFC and non-NFC. The features are the same on both. Let’s have a look at all the available details.
OPPO Band 2 Specifications
The new OPPO Band 2 comes with a large 1.57-inch AMOLED display which is on par with some smartwatches in size. The display comes with a maximum brightness of 500nits. Design-wise, the smart band looks quite premium. It has a squircle build with no buttons on either side. It measures 45.3 x 29.1 x 10.6mm and weighs only 33 g.
The band supports up to 200 band faces including the custom multi-function faces. It also comes with a built-in AI wear dial 2.0 which will enable users to match their band’s face with their outfits. Further, the OPPO Band 2 supports more than 100 sports modes including Racing, Workout, Swimming, and more. The highly demanded e-sports mode has also been added to the band.
OPPO Band 2 is powered by Apollo 3.5 processor paired with 8MB PSRRAM and 128MB Nand storage. The fitness band comes with a built-in 200mAh battery that can last up to 14 days. The band supports magnetic fast charging. Further, The new OPPO band comes with 24*7 heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and more. The band is also claimed to be 5ATM waterproof.
As mentioned, the OPPO Band 2 also has an NFC variant that supports offline payments on Alipay and WeChat dual platforms and can be used without a mobile phone.
OPPO Band 2 Price and availability
OPPO Band 2 is up for pre-order in China. The Standard version of the OPPO Band 2 is priced at 249 Yuan, whereas the NFC version has a price tag of 279 Yuan. The band will go for sale in China on August 19. The global availability of the OPPO Band 2 is yet to be known.
