Nokia is targeting its older clientele in the United Kingdom with the release of the Nokia 2660 Flip. The new foldable Nokia phone comes with a large keypad, larger control keys, and an enlarged interface. Nokia Mobile aims to satisfy the needs of the elderly population with these features in the Nokia 2660 Flip. It also comes with hearing aid compatibility (HAC) for seniors with hearing difficulties.
The Nokia Flip phone has a 1,450mAh battery and the device runs on the Real Time Operating System (RTOS) which is a power-saving OS. The battery can power the device for several days on a single charge. In fact, the standby time of the Nokia 2660 Flip extends to weeks. The 2660 Flip offers better ergonomics for the elderly to just flip their phone and receive a call. They do not need to bother about the placement of the microphone and the earpiece. The phone also has an emergency call button that can be used for easy contact with your loved ones when there’s an emergency.
The Nokia 2660 Flip is charged via the Nokia Charging Cradle and sold separately for €19.99 ($20) while the phone itself retails for €64.99 ($66). The sale of the Nokia 2660 Flip will kick off at the end of August and the phone comes in three colors – blue, black, and red.
