Porsche Design and AOC have partnered to release the AGON Pro PD27S gaming monitor. The new monitor has a sports-car design and comes with some high-octane parameters. It is built from sandblasted aluminum materials, offers RGB lighting, and comes with a high refresh rate. The IPS panel of the AGON Pro PD27S is color-accurate with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.
The PD27S has a 27-inch display with an anti-reflective coating. It features a 165Hz refresh rate and a response time of 1ms. The refresh rate can reach a high of 170Hz and the gaming monitor features Adaptive Sync to minimize image tearing. The monitor offers up to 400 nits of brightness and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. The IPS panel has VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. That means 400 nits of brightness is possible when viewing HDR content. The gaming monitor has slim bezels on three sides and a thicker bezel at the bottom. The Porsche Design logo is printed on the bottom bezel.
The PD27S has twin 5W speakers, two HDMI 2.0 ports, four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and two DisplayPort 1.4 outlets. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The RGB lighting is customizable using AOC’s Light FX software. The stand of the AGON PD27S is inspired by a sports car design. The supports can be tilted, swiveled, and have an adjustable height.
The new gaming monitor is available in Europe and the United Kingdom. It can be ordered for €539 ($537) in the Eurozone and £429.99 ($508) in the UK. There are no indications yet of the global availability of the model.
