Samsung is illuminating the gaming monitor market with two smart gaming monitors. The Samsung Odyssey G70B has a UHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate while the G65B has a 240Hz QHD display. The new Odyssey smart gaming monitors are capable of creating a home office environment as they can wirelessly connect to a PC. They can use Samsung Dex, mirror a phone’s screen using Apple AirPlay 2, and also access the Microsoft 365 suite. The Odyssey G70B and G65B smart gaming monitors feature IoT functionalities and voice assistant support like Amazon Alexa and Bixby. This is achieved by the high-sensitivity Far Field Voice microphone in both gadgets. The user can interact with the monitor at any time with the Always on Voice function activated. The G70B has a flat IPS display and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA’s G-SYNC. It is available in 28- and 32-inch sizes with UHD resolution. The G65B has a 1000R curved QHD display. It offers the FreeSync Premium Pro for enhanced gaming performance. The model has two sizes – 27 inches and 32 inches. There are no price details yet for the two gaming monitors and they are expected to debut globally in the last quarter of 2022.
