In March 2022, Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 5G smartphone in the Indian market. Currently, the device only comes in two configurations – 6GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB.
Now, tipster Abhishek Yadav has stated that the device’s 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant will launch soon in India. It will be priced at ₹38,999 at launch. However, Samsung will provide ₹3,000 off as launch offers, effectively bringing its price down to ₹35,999.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G specs & features
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ SuperAMOLED Infinity-O display. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of brightness, and Eye Comfort Shield compatibility.
The device is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1280 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone also features the RAM Plus feather, which allows an additional 8GB of RAM to be added via internal storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W rapid charging. The phone, however, does not come with a charging adapter.
At the back, it has a quad-camera system with a 64MP OIS primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. It includes a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the front.
It is water and dust resistant to IP67 standards and boasts Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers. In terms of security, it offers an in-screen fingerprint scanner as well as a facial unlock option. The phone comes pre-installed with One UI 4 (Android 12 OS) with Samsung’s Knox security.
