The Redmi A1 is all set to go official on Sept. 6 in India. The company will also be announcing the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G alongside the Redmi A1. Ahead of the launch, 91mobiles has published the leaked press renders of the A1. In addition, some live shots of the device are also doing the rounds on social media channels.
The Redmi A1 press renders and live shots show that it is equipped with a punch-hole display with a thick chin and an LED flash-assisted single camera on the back. There’s no fingerprint scanner on the device. As confirmed by the brand, the rear shell of the Redmi A1 has a leather-like finish.
The publication has also published detailed information on the specs of the device. It is likely to be priced under Rs 10,000 (~$125) in India.

The leak reveals that the Redmi A1 measures 164.9 x 76.75 x 9.09mm and weighs around 192 grams. It has a 6.5-inch LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.
The device is powered by the Helio A22 chipset, LPPDR4x RAM, and eMMC 5.1 storage. Other reports have revealed that the device will ship with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage. It will come preinstalled with the Android 12 Go edition.

The Redmi A1 will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. On the front, it will feature a 5-megapixel selfie camera, and on the back panel, there will be an 8-megapixel camera. It will offer photography features like portrait mode, short video, and timelapse. The A1 will support other features such as dual SIM, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
