Homegrown brand boAt has launched its first companion app called ‘boAt Hearables’. It has become the first company in India to offer a companion app for all audio devices under one roof. The app is available for Android users on Google Play Store. An iOS version is said to arrive in the coming months.
The boAt Hearables app offers variety of functions. It is capable of resolving problems with Bluetooth connectivity, MIC status, speaker status, and battery health in the user’s audio devices with a single click. The self-diagnostics mode is said to be an industry-first feature. However. It is currently available on the Rockerz 330 Pro and Rockerz 333 Pro, but we can expect more devices in the future. Additionally, users can customise the hearable’s button functions and also download over-the-air software updates.
boAt said that in the initial phase of the app’s launch, users can connect and configure their audio devices and troubleshoot any issues they face. The company has promised to add compatibility for all their oldest and newest personal audio devices. In the second phase, the brand will incorporate personalised audio profiles, custom EQ choices, integrated streaming services, and HD audio personalizer.
boAt’s Chief Product Officer Sameer Mehta said ‘We have always strived to develop product solutions which are fast, easy and can make the customer experience richer and better. In addition, we shall expand the product portfolio with app compatibility and shall ensure that every newly launched product shall be supported in the boAt Hearables App by Out of The Box.’
