Motorola launched the Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion smartphones in India earlier this week. It arrived as a rebranded version of the Motorola X30 Pro that debuted in China. The Edge 30 Ultra packs flagship specifications and features. The Lenovo-owned brand announced the smartphone in a single 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage configuration priced at Rs 59,999.

The company received an overwhelming response on the Edge 30 Ultra. Hence, Motorola has announced on its social handles that on popular demand it will release the Edge 30 Ultra in a 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configuration. The exact sale date and pricing of the smartphone remain unknown at the moment. But we can expect the price to be higher than the 8GB + 128GB option.

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra comes with a 6.73-inch centre-aligned punch-hole OLED display bearing an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with an integrated fingerprint scanner and supports HDR10+.

The Edge 30 Ultra has a rectangular camera module on the back panel. It is the world’s first smartphone with a 200MP primary Samsung ISOCELL HP1 camera sensor. The primary lens is paired with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle snapper and a 12MP telephoto unit. Up front, the Edge 30 Ultra features a 60MP selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra houses the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It packs 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone draws its power from a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 125W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Software-wise, the Edge 30 Ultra runs on the stock Android 12 OS. Connectivity options on the device include 5G, WiFi-6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
