In August, Motorola unveiled the Moto Razr 2022 in China. The official renders of the global version of the device are now doing the rounds on social media sites, which indicate that it will soon be released in the international markets. It appears that the device will not be called the Moto Razr 2022 in the global market.

According to Nils Ahrensmeier, the upcoming Motorola clamshell for the global market will be called the Razr 22. Unfortunately, there is no fresh information on the global release of the device.

Moto Razr 22 specifications

The Moto Razr 22 comes with a 6.7-inch P-OLED foldable display that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The rear side of the device has a G-OLED cover display, which measures 2.7 inches. It offers a resolution of 573 x 1080 pixels.

Under the hood, the Razr 22 features the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. In China, the clamshell was made available in variants like 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The device comes with the Android 12 OS, which is overlaid with MY UI 4.0.

The rear camera setup of the Razr 22 features a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support. It is coupled with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It is packed with a 3,500mAh battery that supports 30W charging. At present, there is no information on the price of the Razr 22 for the global market. It will be stacked against the Galaxy Z Flip 4, which is priced at $999. The Motorola clamshell is available in China with a price tag of 5,999 Yuan (~$850).
