Samsung has announced the arrival of the Galaxy XCover6 and Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro in the United States. The two rugged devices are 5G-enabled and MIL-STD-810H-rated. Both devices can operate under extreme environmental conditions and are making their entry into the US months after their release.Samsung Galaxy XCover6

The Samsung Galaxy XCover6 runs on Android 12 and has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and the display has Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Samsung announced the Galaxy XCover6 in June 2022 and it can be operated with a wet hand or gloves. The phone is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance with a Snapdragon 778G chipset in the mix. The XCover has a RAM capacity of 6GB and 128GB of expandable storage. It has a programmable push-to-talk button and a 4,050mAh battery. The phone can be charged at 15W or through pogo pins on a cradle. Its loudspeaker has a boost mode and Samsung DeX. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro was released this month and comes with a 10.1-inch TFT LCD panel. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and the tablet supports S Pen functionality. The tablet is also very rugged and can withstand extreme conditions of altitude, humidity, immersion, vibration, and more. The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chip and has a RAM/ storage configuration of 4GB/128GB. The Samsung Galaxy XCover6 and Tab Active4 Pro support NFC payments and can be used as POS systems on the Knox platform. They can be used to scan barcodes or for inventory tracking. The Active5 Pro is already available from Samsung and Amazon Business while the XCover6 will arrive on October 20 via US carriers. The Active4 Pro has a starting price of $649 while no pricing information is available for the XCover6 yet.
