With the official launch of the Android 13, smartphone maker’s have been rushing to roll out the latest Android OS version for their respective smartphone models. Now, the OnePlus 9 series is set to receive the ColorOS 13 update later this month in China.
As per ColorOS China’s official Weibo account, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will be receiving the new Android 13 OS based ColorOS 13 update at the end of this month on 31st October 2022. In the popular Chinese microblogging website, the post shared a list for a number of OnePlus and Oppo smartphones receiving the stable build for ColorOS 13. For those unaware, the update has been actively in beta programs for various devices and is finally making its way for certain models in China.
Talking about the update itself, the new major upgrade brings the latest Android 13 build, which brings a number of new features and updates. The new custom skin brings a new Aquamorphic design. This basically means that the free flowing nature of water was the inspiration behind the new UI and its design. Users can also expect ColorOS 13 to change ColorOS 12’s green accents for all new blue shade.
There is also the inclusion of vanilla Android 13’s ‘active apps’ on the notification shade. Furthermore, ColorOS 13 also brings the new Shadow Reflective Clock that simulates the orientation of the sun and moon. The new update would also bring unique new additions to the Always On Display. For those unaware, ColorOS has typically been one of the best in terms of AOD customization, and the new update brings support for more intuitive controls as well.
