The newest budget-friendly A series phone from OPPO, the A17, has been launched in India. This comes not too long after it was unveiled in Malaysia. The new phone runs Android 12 and boasts a 6.56-inch HD+ screen with a water drop notch that holds a 5MP camera and more.OPPO A17

The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor under the hood. The processor is backed up by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone also has 4GB of additional virtual RAM.

On the back, the smartphone boasts a dual camera configuration with a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 5MP f/2.2 fixed-focus one. The main camera system includes AI, 360-degree Fill Light, Portrait Retouching, HDR, and other image technologies.OPPO A17

The A17 is powered by a 5000mAh battery and includes certain battery-saving features like Super Power Saving Mode and Super Nighttime Standby. Android 12 via ColorOS 12.1, IPX4 water resistance, and USB-C are also important features. The phone boasts a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a one-piece faux leather back, and IPX4 ratings for splash protection.

The OPPO A17 costs Rs. 12499 (~$153) and is available from both online and physical locations in India. It comes in Midnight Black and Lake Blue color options.
