Honor has started teasing the arrival of the Honor X40 GT smartphone in China. Now that the first teaser released, it appears that it will go official in a week or two. At the same time, a render of the X40 GT has now started doing the rounds on social media handles. The image suggests that it will be a performance-focused device.

The teaser released by the brand does not reveal anything about the Honor X40 GT. According to some reports, the device will have the Snapdragon 888 4G mobile platform.

The Honor X40 GT render shown above shows that it has a punch-hole display. It is unclear whether it is an LCD or OLED panel. It has two green vertical lines at the center, with a textured pattern on either side. It has a round-shaped camera module, which seems to house a triple camera unit and an LED flash. At the centre of the camera module is the “GT” branding.

In related news, Honor is working on the Magic 5 series of flagship phones, which is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The lineup is likely to include the Magic 5 and Magic 5 Pro handsets. Honor is likely to announce the Magic 5 series in March or April 2023.

As far as this year is concerned, the company may unveil the Honor Magic V2 in December this year. The foldable phone is tipped to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and Magic UI 7.0.
