Samsung just launched a new app called the Camera Assistant that is being released for Galaxy smartphones. The new app is a part of the company’s Good Lock suite of personalization apps that aim to improve the user experience.

The South Korean tech giant has announced the new Camera Assistant application that aims to offer advanced features while using the Galaxy phone’s camera. This would help improve the users customizability with the camera’s auto mode. As of right now, the app is available in regions like India, South Korea, and some other markets through the Galaxy Store. Furthermore, this app also brings the ability to let users disable or enable automatic HDR as well.

Apart from this, Galaxy phone users can also expect to see soft photo texture and even automatic lens switching when shooting subjects that are away from the user. Notably, the new Camera Assistant app also allows you to shoot videos even when they are using the Photo mode. Users can even hold the shutter button to start recording videos. One of the most important features added to the Camera Assistant is the Quick Shot option that lets you reduce motion blur in still images.

Although, Samsung stated that the image quality might be lowered slightly when the feature is used. But, it should help in better capturing quick moving subjects like pets. With this new app, there is no need for any setup since it basically enables a number of new options into the Galaxy phone’s camera settings that users can toggle as per their requirements.
