Baseus has unveiled the PowerCombo Pro 40W which features Gallium Nitride (GaN) charging technology together with a power strip. The new Baseus power accessory comes with surge protection that safeguards devices that are being charged.

The Baseus PowerCombo Pro 40W has AC outlets in addition to USB-A and USB-C ports. The new GaN charger from Baseus has incorporated AC charging into the GaN architecture. Most devices that adopt electronic charging technology limit their connectivity to USB ports. The PowerCombo Pro 40W has multiple AC outlets that are traditionally found on the wall.

The gadget seems to be a hybrid power strip and 40W charger. It is indeed a high-wattage multi-port USB power hub with AC support. The PowerCombo Pro 40W has a 125V input and joins the 65W and 100W PowerCombo models previously released.

The Baseus PowerCombo Pro 40W is rated at 1.625kW and is not recommended for most household appliances. It has a BDIP chip that prevents overcharging or short-circuiting for any plugged device. The USB-C and USB-A ports deliver 40W charging and are enhanced with the latest 5th GaN technology, according to the company.
