Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has been teasing its Malaysia launch through its official social media handles for a while now. Today, the company confirmed it will debut in the country on December 2 with the long-awaited iQOO 11 5G.

A media invite sent to GSMArena reveals the iQOO 11 5G will be launched in Malaysia on December 2 at the iQOO 11 5G Experience Day event. The event will begin at 6 PM local time, where the handset will be introduced as Malaysia’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone.

iQOO 11 launch date

The company did not divulge many details about the upcoming iQOO 11 5G but claims it will be the “king of gaming smartphones.” We’ll have to wait for the reviewers to confirm whether this claim holds water. iQOO may add some new gaming features to the smartphone.

According to the previous reports, the iQOO 11 will come with a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display. It will have a flat panel with a centrally positioned punch hole cutout. The display may offer an FHD+ resolution, up to 144hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

As mentioned, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The processor will likely be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The iQOO 11 may arrive with a 16-megapixel snapper on the front. The back of the handset may flaunt a triple camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide unit, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.

The handset is also said to be equipped with the new Vivo V2 ISP. On the software front, the device may run OriginOS 3-based Android 13. It could pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
