Motorola is reportedly working on a new lower-end smartphone that goes by the name of Motorola “Penang”. For those unaware, Penang is a state of Malaysia. Now, known tipster Evan Blass has shared an image revealing the design of Motorola Penang.

The image is shared via GadgetGang, which reveals that the smartphone will have flat sides, with rounded corners for comfort in gripping. The back is also flat and features two camera cutouts on the top left. Coming to the front, the device has a notable top bezel and a thick chin. The front camera cutout is a centered punch-hole.

The report also mentions that the handset has the same root code as the Penang4G and Penang+, however, it is not necessarily an indication that these devices will all debut in the same lineup. The report also reveals that the Penang 5G North American variant, XT-2313, will be available from all three main U.S. carriers as well as Cricket, Dish, and Tracfone.

Tipster Evan Blass also states that the device will come with only a 4GB of RAM option and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.

Separately, Motorola XT2335-3 has been listed on 3C and TENAA certification. The listening reveals that the drive will feature a 6.5″ inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720*1600 pixels. The device will have an octa-core chipset with a 2.2GHz CPU. Interestingly, RAM options ranging from 4GB, all the way to 12GB will be available, while storage options from 64GB to 512GB will also be available.

The back of the device will have a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, it will have an 8-megapixel selfie cam. Lastly, the device will have 162.7×74.6×8.1(mm) dimensions and it will weigh 183gms.
