Samsung reportedly to make telecom gear in India

According to the latest reports, Samsung plans to invest $49 million in its manufacturing facility in India to make 4G and 5G telecommunications infrastructure equipment. The company already has one of its largest smartphone factories in the world in the region. Samsung Networks will now join Ericsson and Nokia in domestic telecommunications production in India.

While this development significantly contributes to the Indian economy, it also provides cost and qualified personnel advantage for the South Korean technology giant.

Samsung has big plans for the country

The company also makes TVs and has plans to make OLED panels for smartphones in the country. Based on this information, it is possible that Samsung has big plans for India. These investments can also benefit the South Korean tech giant’s activities in the country. With each passing day, Chinese smartphone manufacturers are increasing their market share in the country. Samsung has already received the Indian government’s (National Security Council Secretariat) approval as a trusted source of telecom equipment. This stamp of approval is required in India before any company makes telecom equipment in the country. Samsung Networks has already received orders from the two biggest telecom operators in the country.
