Since its launch, Apex Legends Mobile had took the mobile gaming market by storm. It was the newest entry in the popular battle royale genre and had seen great success in various regions across the globe. Now, the game has even achieves the title of the Best Game of the Year on both iOS and Android.

For those unaware, Apex Legends Mobile is the mobile port of the popular Apex Legends franchise from Respawn and Electronics Art. Similar to other battle royale titles, you see individual or teams of players dropping into a map and fight to be the last team or man standing. However, the twist in this game is the specialized characters that bring unique gameplay mechanics like abilities and quirky personalities as well. The PC counterpart is already one of the most popular multiplayer titles in the world, with the Mobile variant now winning the Google Play Best of 2022 Awards.

Similarly, it also won Apple’s iPhone Game Of The Year at the App Store Awards 2022. The game achieved this milestone despite being pit against other major mobile titles like Diablo Immortal. Following the ban of PUBG Mobile and even Battlegrounds Mobile India (PUBG Mobile’s exclusive India variant), Apex Legends Mobile has been the game that most PUBGM fans switched to. Interestingly enough, the Apex Legends PC developers are also the team behind the popular Titanfall franchise as well, with various mechanics being brought to the free to play BR looter shooter.

According to Myke Hoff – Senior Director of Product at Respawn Entertainment and Kevin Childress – Creative Director of Respawn Entertainment “We have servers in 3 cities in India. When BGMI was banned, we strengthened the servers and tried to understand what Indian gamers want. We saw an influx in gamers, and we hope that those gamers stick around.”
