Apple has apparently returned to Twitter and began advertising on the microblogging website again. The company had almost completely stopped advertising on the platform but has now returned its marketing efforts on Twitter.
The news arrives from Elon Musk himself (Via 9To5Mac), who had also previously taken jabs at the company for “mostly stopped advertising on Twitter.” But now, the Cupertino based giant has “fully resumed advertising” on Twitter. As of right now, the iPhone maker has yet to confirm Musk’s claim of ending advertising on Twitter. Furthermore, there have also never been any indication of Apple slowing down advertising on the social media website due to Musk taking over Twitter.
Recently, Elon had also visited Apple Park to meet with Tim Cook. Apparently, the meeting went quite well, with Musk stating that Cook never planned to remove Twitter from the App Store. Musk had confirmed that Apple has once again started raising its advertising on Twitter during its Twitter Spaces event. He stated that it is an important relationship for the company since Apple is the largest advertising client of Twitter, which makes it crucial as other clients have been pausing their spendings.
Elon Musk stated that the brand has “spent an estimated $131,600 on Twitter ads between Nov. 10 and Nov. 16, down from $220,800 between Oct. 16 and Oct. 22, the week before Musk closed the Twitter.” Unfortunately, it is still unclear whether the company actually stopped its ads on Twitter, but promotional campaigns don’t always follow a strict timeline.
