The Anbernic RG35XX gaming handheld has been showcased in an unboxing video. The new gaming handheld comes with a design reminiscent of the iconic Game Boy. It has a 3.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 640 x 480p. It comes with the same 4:3 aspect ratio as its predecessors and the ARM Cortex A9-based processor. Anbernic has continued to grow in its collection of retro-styled gaming devices.

The new Anbernic gaming handheld device is an update to the RG300 handheld. The unboxing video shows off a variety of games available on the console. The device will be available in three color options namely, Transparent White, Gray, and Transparent Purple. It has a 2,100mAh battery that can deliver up to 5 hours of gaming on a single charge. The gaming console also has 256MB built-in storage and two MicroSD card slots.

You can use the RG35XX console to play other games via its USB-C and HDMI out ports. The gadget will rely on Linux for its software system architecture and it weighs 165g. The RG35XX has two pairs of triggers at its back, as well as the option of turning it vertically for shooting games. It however does not have a pair of analog joysticks so lacks the DualShock capability.

Arduboy Mini Gaming Handheld

The RG35XX gaming handheld is a budget console and its processor is less powerful than some of its predecessors. The Anbernic RG35XX will be released on the Chinese company’s website on December 9 for $50.

There are speculations surrounding the capability of the new gaming handheld. In terms of its specs, the RG35XX could be viewed as a PS1 emulator at most. It is speculated that the Anbernic RG35XX will debut in 2023.
