With CES 2023 just around the corner, leaks regarding upcoming laptops and hardware from OEMs have started pouring in. One such leak mentions that MSI is planning on introducing a new Titan GT77 laptop in the market with a 4K 144Hz mini-LED display.
The report comes from Notebookcheck, which cites industry sources as the provider of this leak. According to the report, the upcoming Titan GT77 HX will have a 17.3-inch 4K 144 Hz AmLED mini-LED panel with 1,008 dimming zones and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The display has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and is DisplayHDR 1000-certified. The leaked product slides also appear to show a 3 ms response time when panel overdrive is enabled.
It appears that the mini-LED display on the Titan GT77 will support MSI’s True Color feature, which ensures that each panel is uniquely color-calibrated. The upcoming Titan GT77 appears to be receiving a number of improvements in several crucial areas in addition to the new display technology. The Titan GT77 will likely feature variations of Raptor Lake-HX CPUs and Nvidia’s RTX 40-series mobile GPUs.
The speaker system, MUX switch, Cherry MX SteelSeries mechanical keyboard, and 99.99 WH battery appear to have been carried over from the Titan GT77 12UHS. However, there are a few upgrades that stand out, including an updated Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1690 WLAN card and a new 8-heatpipe cooling system.
