Lenovo has officially announced the Thinkcentre M60q Chromebox mini host. The information was delivered via the company’s official website and the new Chromebox mini host has a five-core processor.

The Thinkcentre M60q Chromebox mini host is powered by an Intel Celeron 7305 processor. The SoC features a single large core and four small cores. The new Chromebox mini host has dimensions of 178 x 182 x 34 mm and a shell volume of 1L. Apart from the Intel Celeron 7305 processor, other processor options are the i3-1215U and i5-1235U. The Intel i3-1215 is a 6-core unit with 2 large cores and 4 small cores. The Intel i5-1235U has two large and 8 small cores respectively.

In terms of its memory architecture, the M60q supports dual-channel notebook DDR4-3200 memory sticks. The mini host has 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage or 256GB SSD. There are ports at the front and rear of the device. At the front, we have the USB-C, USB-A, and a headset interface while the rear offers HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, and DP 1.4 ports, amongst others.

There are still many details lacking for the Thinkcentre M60q mini host. Lenovo is silent on the price tag of the device and its release date is also not known. One of the potential areas of concern for the new mini host is its processor’s capacity.

A lack of sufficient processing capability could result in slow performance for the M60q. Since the device is yet to be put through the paces, there can be no definitive information on its performance.
