Oppo has been rolling out stable and beta builds of the ColorOS 13 to its devices at an impressive rate. Many of the brand’s smartphones have already been updated to Android 13 and the remaining devices will receive the update in the coming months. In the latest development, Oppo has started the ColorOS 13 open beta program for the Reno 7 SE in China. Here are the details.

As announced by the brand, the Oppo Reno 7 SE ColorOS 13 open beta program is now live and users can enroll to try their hands on the latest software. The beta program will allow interested users to try out the new features of the ColorOS 13 before a stable release. However, the beta build could have bugs and issues that may hamper one’s daily usage.

The beta registrations for the Oppo Reno 7 SE will be live until December 22. The company will recruit a limited number of users from China. After submitting applications, selected applicants will receive the beta software via OTA update.

ColorOS 13 was announced back in August at the OPPO Developer Conference 2022. The new OS comes with significant upgrades and a new Aquamorphic design. It has smooth animations, security and privacy improvements, and Material You icons. There are also new OPPO Sans 3.0 fonts.

To recall, OPPO Reno 7 SE comes with a Dimensity 900 chip and packs a 6.43-inch OLED screen that produces a resolution of 2400×1080 and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging. In terms of cameras, the device has a 16MP camera on the front and a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 48MP main camera IMX581 (f/1.7), a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP black and white lens.
