Recently, Palm Reading released the Smart Air e-book in China. Now, a new e-note device has debuted in the country. It is dubbed iReader Smart Air Pro. As the name suggests, it is a digital notebook device. The latest offing has the same display as the Smart Air but packs better hardware under the hood. Read on to know what the Smart Air Pro offers out of the box. 

The iReader Smart Air Pro features a 8-inch display with 300 ppi pixel density. It adopts E Ink Carta 1200 display panel. iReader says that the contrast ratio is improved by 15 percent and the refresh rate by 22 percent. The screen surface etching process is said to be upgraded to improve the writing friction and offer a real paper-like writing experience. The Smart Air Pro supports a stylus pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The device can be used for reading, taking notes, scribbling, and more. 

Dimension-wise, the iReader Smart Air Pro measures 6.3mm in thinness and is lightweight at 225 grams. 

Under the hood, the iReader Smart Air Pro is equipped with a quad-core processor compared to the dual-core SoC on the Smart Air. The latest offering also packs double the storage compared to the previous model i.e. 12GB. The device is backed by a 2,400mAh battery unit that is claimed to offer 75 hours of usage. Connectivity options on the Smart Air Pro include a dual-band USB-C port, WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0.

The iReader Smart Air Pro carries a price tag of RMB 2,199 (~$315). It is up for pre-order in China via JingDong.
