The Honor Pad V8 Pro is scheduled to launch on December 26 in China. It will be accompanied by the Honor 80 GT.
Ahead of the event, the brand has been teasing the features of this tablet. Earlier today, the company revealed the product’s entertainment features. Let’s check them out.
According to the official teasers, the Honor Pad V8 Pro will be IMAX Enhanced-certified and will house eight speakers for an immersive audio-visual experience. Hence, customers will be able to stream IMAX Enhanced titles from Tencent Video and iQIYI on the tablet’s large 12.1-inch canvas.
It is worth noting that Honor’s Magic 3 and Magic 4 series of smartphones also come with this certification. However, the upcoming Pad V8 Pro will be the world’s first large-screen tablet to arrive with this feature.
Honor has also partnered with Disney-owned 20th Century Studios for the promotion of Avatar: The Way of Water. For the unaware, the latest James Cameron movie is filmed for IMAX. The brand is giving away 10 tickets for the motion picture.
According to previous teasers and leaks, the Honor Pad V8 Pro’s display will offer a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and protection against eye fatigue. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset and will boot MagicOS 7.0 based on Android 13.
The front camera will be located on the right edge and there will be a pogo pin connector for the official keyboard accessory on the back. Last but not least, the product will carry support for 33W fast wired charging.
