Honor Pad V8 Pro has launched in China today. It has debuted alongside the Honor 80 GT smartphone. The tablet packs some premium specifications including a high refresh rate, Dimensity processor, and a big battery. Read on to know what the Honor Pad V8 offers out of the box. 

The Honor Pad V8 Pro boasts a 12.1-inch LCD display bearing a 2.5K resolution, 600 nits brightness, and slim bezels around the screen. It is the world’s first tablet to feature a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate and IMAX Enhanced certification that will allow users to stream IMAX Enhanced titles. There is natural light eye protection technology. For audiophiles, the device is equipped with eight speakers for an immersive audio experience. 

The Honor Pad V8 Pro comes with a pill-shaped camera module on the back panel housing a single 13MP sensor paired with an LED flash. There is a 5MP front-facing selfie snapper. The device is compatible with a Magic Pencil 3 and Smart Touch keyboard. 

Under the hood, the Honor Pad V8 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. It packs up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The tablet draws its power from a 10,050mAh battery unit with support for 35W wired fast charging. The device runs on MagicOS 7.0 out of the box. Connectivity options on the tablet include WiFi and Bluetooth 5.2

The Honor Pad V8 Pro is offered in Star Grey, Burning Orange, and Clear Sky Blue colours. The tablet starts at RMB 2,599 (~$373) for the 8GB + 128GB option. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations are priced at RMB 2,899 (~$416) and RMB 3,299 (~$473) respectively. The Pad V8 Pro is up for pre-orders today with sales commencing from December 30th
