Asus has launched a new 60% keyboard with a 68-key layout in China called the ROG Magician Competitive Edition Yueyaobai mechanical keyboard. As evident by the ROG branding, the keyboard is aimed at competitive gamers looking for a compact and portable keyboard that is easy to travel with and leaves plenty of room on the tablet to maneuver the mouse.
The Magician Competitive Edition Yueyaobai is aesthetically pleasing, with a sophisticated moonlight-white color scheme and RGB lighting effects that can be adjusted with AURA SYNC technology. Users can select from a selection of rhythmic lighting effects as a result to improve their game experience.
The keyboard comes with ROG NX mechanical switch, which is available in three different handle options: Hawthorn Red, Glacier Blue, and Mocha Brown. Among them, the NX Hawthorn Red switch and NX Mocha Brown switches have an actuation point of 0.1mm, which makes the keystroke register even with the lightest presses. For those unaware, Red and Brown mechanical switches usually have an actuation point of 0.2mm. So, the NX Hawthorn Red and NX Mocha Brown switch actually help with cutting down reaction time while playing competitive titles.
A Smart Bar touch bar on the side of the keyboard is another feature of the Magician Competitive Edition Yueyaobai that enables users to customize key functions and control them directly. A two-way USB-C interface on the keyboard allows users to simultaneously connect two devices, and it also has a key line separation design. A protective cover is bundled with the keyboard, allowing users to easily take it on the go.
The Asus ROG Magician Competitive Edition Yueyaobai mechanical keyboard is priced at 599 yuan and is currently available to purchase in China through JD.com.
