In recent times, wireless charging for phones has become common due to massive improvements in the wireless charging protocol to speed up the charging time just like wired charging. Wireless charging technology may soon be available for notebook PCs. Leading PC manufacturer Lenovo has unveiled a new wireless docking station dubbed ThinkBook Wireless Dock.

At the same time, the docking station has an intelligent detection function, which can determine whether the notebook is placed properly on it. This is to ensure that the Power-by-Contact is working at the maximum power. It uses Wi-Fi 6 to ensure that the Power-by-Contact connection is at full strength.
