Razer has just announced a pricey new webcam. During the CES 2023 event, the company unveiled the new Kiyo Pro Ultra, which is a high end webcam that offers uncompressed 4K footage capture. So here are all the details.

As per official notes, the brand is aiming to offer a DSLR like video performance with the new Kiyo Pro Ultra webcam. This device houses a Sony Starvis 2 sensor, which is a 1/1.2 inch image sensor. In other words, this makes the webcam the largest ever from the company. Razer is clearly marketing the new Kiyo Pro Ultra to content creators like streamers in particular. As of right now, there are various streamers that typically opt for DSLR cameras, but the new webcam will seek to be a worthy alternative since it is not as expensive as a DSLR camera.
Furthermore, the Kiyo Pro Ultra also offers an f/1.7 aperture that enables it to offer bokeh effect and decent low light performance as well. Looking at the webcam, the device has a round body with the lens actually appearing like a DSLR camera. Most notably, the Kiro Pro Ultra offers uncompressed 4K recording capabilities at 24fps. It even offer 1440p capture at 30fps, and 1080p recording in both 60fps or 30fps with HDR enabled. The webcam also has a built in omnidirection microphone as well.

While this model isn’t as pricey as full fledged DSLR cameras, it still has a hefty price tag of 300 US Dollars. Setting up is also quite simple with a basic plug and use. The Synapse companion app also let’s you customize digital zoom, enable AI face tracking feature, and even shutter speed, exposure, onboard memory, and more.
