Xiaomi is tipped to launch a new flagship soon. Industry sources familiar with the matter told publication 91Mobiles that the Chinese brand is in works with legendary camera maker Leica. Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 13 series in China last month. The upcoming offering is expected to be a new addition to the lineup – probably called the Xiaomi 13S Ultra.

As per the report, the upcoming Xiaomi flagship is said to debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC). This year, MWC is taking place from February 27th till March 2nd in Barcelona, Spain. It’s worth noting that Xiaomi is yet to announce its presence at the upcoming tech trade fair and also about its upcoming flagship.

The Xiaomi 13S Ultra is tipped to feature Leica-branded cameras similar to the other Xiaomi 13 models. The upcoming offering is expected to come with a 1-inch sensor that is found on the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Past reports suggest that the Xiaomi 13S Ultra will have a new periscope camera that is claimed to shock everyone with its performance. The device will sport quad cameras with all four sensors expected to be 50MP. The company’s Ultra models are usually premium offerings with top photographic capabilities.

The Xiaomi 13S Ultra will arrive as the successor to the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The device could come with a QHD+ display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor under the hood.

Apart from the aforementioned details, not much is known about the upcoming Xiaomi flagship. We expect more details to surface online in the coming weeks and as we get closer to MWC 2023.
