Redmi recently launched its Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones in India. The series consists of three different devices; Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The high-end Redmi Note 12 Pro also sets a new benchmark for the pricing and specifications of a Redmi Note smartphone. Now, the brand is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its budget-oriented Redmi 12C smartphone. The launch timeline of the forthcoming device has been tipped now and according to the report, it could launch in the month of February.

The Redmi 12C was launched earlier in China. The brand is now preparing for the launch of the same smartphone for the Indian market. According to 91Mobiles citing internal sources, the Redmi 12C smartphone will be introduced by the company before to MWC 2023, which is slated to take place in Barcelona between February 27 and March 2nd, according to 91Mobiles, citing internal sources. According to the source, there won’t be any significant changes and the hardware would be identical to the Chinese version.

Regarding the specifications of Redmi 12C, the smartphone offers a 6.71-inches HD+ waterdrop notch IPS LCD display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard internal storage. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with the support of standard charging. For the cameras, the device has got a 5MP front-facing snapper and a dual rear camera setup: 50MP primary and 0.08MP depth lenses.
